James Harden will start for the Western Conference in the NBA All-Star Game in New Orleans next Sunday, and the Rockets star will be wearing the latest colorway of his adidas Harden Vol. 1 signature shoe.

Adidas unveiled the All-Star colorway called “No Brakes” on Wednesday, in a familiar color scheme to other adidas All-Star kicks of the past. The purple and orange combination is similar to that of the All-Star colorway adidas gave to Damian Lillard last year on the Dame 2, but this year it’s more subtle with accents of purple and orange on the collar, laces and outsole of a mostly gray exterior.

“Featuring various hues of gray across a knit upper, the silhouette is done up with orange laces and sharp purple contrasts. Gray detailing is added to the heel’s three stripes and leather toe, while gradient treatment fades from purple to orange along the outsole. “No Brakes” is printed on the left sockliner as a message to move full throttle heading into the final stretch of the regular season.”

The gray is nice, especially the speckled look of the back two thirds of the shoe, and it works really well with the purple collar lining. The toecap with the gray and orange are flatter colors and don’t pop as much as the gray upper and purple on the collar and outsole, but overall the shoe has a clean look.
